500 Brickell celebrated its grand arrival into Miami’s premier neighborhood last Friday night with a Diane von Furstenberg runway show. Luring the chic set over the causeway to Brickell, the summer soiree on the building’s 11th floor pool deck basked in the glow of Miami’s skyline under a full moon.
Amid impressive architectural designs by Arquitectonica, over 1,000 guests enjoyed refreshing Oronoco Rum cocktails including the Luna de Oro Mojito, which is the classic mojito garnished with lime wedges and sugar cane, Piña Coladas that were served in coconut cups and Key Lime Cosmos as well as sophisticated BBQ-inspired light bites by Le Basque. Models showcasing DVF’s Resort 2008 and Spring 2009 collections glided poolside on a semicircular runway, rounding out the spectacular night. Bringing his Downtown vision full circle with the 500 Brickell property, Jorge Perez shared thanks for the two-tower property’s proud debut, further signifying Brickell as the Magic City’s hottest residential neighborhood.
500 Brickell presents a landmark structure and luxury residences with some of the trendiest restaurants and most visited entertainment venues in the city only steps away.
