On July 20th in the Grande Cabaña at the Raleigh Hotel, Nicolita Swimwear will be the center of attention at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2014. Nicole Di Rocco’s new vision for Nicolita draws its inspiration from 1950’s film noir detective movies; the new line is appropriately titled, “The Search for the Perfect Booty.” The meaning behind this is from the Nicolita ideal that, “behind every woman is a Perfect Booty.”
Nicole Di Rocco stated, “It’s all about matching your curves to the right style. Not about squeezing into a style or the latest trends. Work with what you got and choose styles that contour and fit your body shape.” With the line being flattering to a myriad of body types, it is comprised of lace, trim, hardware, with that retro flare to tie it all together.
A highlight of the collection is the Cuban-style bottoms. Cuban-style bottoms provide more coverage on the hips, a heart-shaped backside and no-pinch fit elastic. Ultimately these nomenclatures of the brand make a signature style for Nicolita, which has created a wide-ranging fan base.
Some of the models walking in the Nicolita Show will be Lisa Pliner, designer of the Donald & Lisa Signature Collection, and Águeda López, Spanish Model and Fiancé of Latin Grammy Award Winning Artist Luis Fonsi. “It is important to showcase each runway collection with a variety of different body shapes and sizes. It’s hard to imagine how a bikini will look on you, if you can’t identify with a models body shape,” commented Nicole Di Rocco.
